African-American/Black vernacular, slang [U.S.] 2. Contraction of the expression “all right”. 3. Often used in place of “ok”, “cool”, “all right”, “sure thing”, and “I agree”. Ex: “Aiight, let’s get this mutha started!” Ex: “I’m heading out. Aiight?” autodidact (noun) Self-taught, self-educated. axxxx B ‘batespiration (adjective) 1. A portmanteau of the words masturbation and inspiration). Ex: Mentally recalling favored past sexual experiences, fantasies, and/or pornography often serves as ‘batespiration for many males who masturbate. (See: portmanteau.) bi-curious (adjective) (sometimes stylized as bicurious) 1. Refers to someone who is either overly interested or curious about bisexuality or the bisexuality of another person. Usually refers to the heterosexual (aka “straight”) a person who is curious about bisexuality; enough to ask many related questions and/or to be willing to perform or engage in sexual acts with both a person of their gender and those who are not. bxxxx C circle jerk (noun) (vulgar slang) (Also: circle-jerk, circlejerk) 1. A sexual activity in which two or more persons, usually while situated in the same room or area, simultaneously masturbate themselves; either while observing pornography (porn) and/or engaging in sexually explicit communication with one another (See: mutual masturbation.) cognitive dissonance (noun) [a term normally used in psychology] 1. Being in denial or deception of one’s self (aka lying to one’s self). 2. The state of having or being in a situation that is inconsistent or conflicting in thought, belief, or attitude, especially as relating to behavioral decisions and attitude change. 3. The discrepancy between a person’s actual reality and their conscious knowledge, beliefs, and/or values. [S/N: Some psychologists believe it is at the root of most depression and anxiety.] 4. The mental discomfort (psychological stress) experienced by a person who holds two or more contradictory beliefs, ideas, or values…particularly concerning religion. Ex: When people smoke (behavior) knowing that smoking causes cancer (cognition), they are in a state of cognitive dissonance. cxxxx D dxxxx E exxxx F friendectomy (noun); friendectomize (verb) 1. A portmanteau of the word friend and the medical suffix -otomy or -tomy. Refers to the act of cutting or making an incision, as in a medical operation or surgical procedure. Ex: Half the people on my social media “friends” list are neither active followers nor supporters of my page, therefore a friendectomy is in order. Ex: Because she dared to harshly criticize my atheist and anti-religious views, not only did I immediately friendectomized her but blocked her ass, too! fuck around and find out (Also: fuck around, find out; fucked around, found out) (phrase) [S/N: Considered self-explanatory. Sometimes stylized simply as “fafo“.] 1. An invitation intended to test the limits or tolerance level of either an object, a situational occurrence, and/or that of another person or group of people. 2. Expressed to communicate a provocative challenge or warning of an action that may result in serious or unexpected consequences. (A way of saying, “Go ahead, try it (or test me), and see what happens.”) 3. Generally confined to casual conversations or environments where the use of strong or profane language is tolerated or expected. Ex. After being constantly teased, the guard’s dog seriously bit Mark, who in his stupidity, had simply fucked around and found out. Ex. Janet’s car accident was completely avoidable and a classic case of fafo on her part. fuckstrate (verb); fuckstrated, fuckstrating (adjective); fuckstration (noun) 1. A portmanteau of the word fuck and the words frustrate, frustrated, frustrating, and frustration. [S/N: RobFather uses one of these portmanteaus when he feels the word “frustrate” et al simply isn’t strong enough to apply either to a given situation and/or his emotional feelings or attitude.] fugly (adjective) 1. A portmanteau of the words fucking and ugly. Ex: The design and color of that truck is not just ugly…it’s fugly! fxxxx G gay-curious (adjective) (Also: gay curious) 1. Refers to someone who is either overly interested or curious about homosexuality or another person’s homosexuality. Usually refers to the heterosexual (aka “straight”) person who is curious about homosexuality; enough to ask many related questions and/or to be willing to perform or engage in sexual acts that are homosexual (gay) in nature. gxxxx H Hitleresque (adjective) 1. Reminiscent of German dictator Adolf Hitler (1889–1945); comparative “more Hitleresque”; superlative most Hitleresque Ex: Former president Donald Trump and his ideas and policies were considered Hitleresque by many people. hxxxx I ixxxx J jawn (noun or adjective, depending on context) RobFather wearing a jawn t-shirt. [Origin: Philadelphia or “Philly”, Pennsylvania (U.S.)] 1. Can or may refer to anything, mean anything, or everything. Philadelphia vernacular/slang. Considered “old school” speak. Commonly used by members of the city’s African-American/Black community. 2. Can or may refer to anything, or mean anything or everything. Ex: When asked whether he would be editing the audio clip on his laptop computer, Rob said, “My jawn’s been acting up lately. I may have to take it to a computer repair shop!” Ex: Theo said to him, “I’m still recovering from the last night’s jawn!” jxxxx K kxxxx L lxxxx M misandry (noun) 1. The hatred of, contempt for, or ingrained prejudice against men or boys. [S/N: In adjectival form, the word ‘misandrous’ or ‘misandrist’ is used.] Ex: She carries a deeply ingrained misandrous attitude. [S/N: Misandry manifests in numerous ways, including social exclusion, sex discrimination, hostility, gynocentrism, matriarchy, female privilege, belittling of men or boys, disenfranchisement of men or boys, violence against men or boys, and sexual objectification.] misogyny (noun) 1. The hatred of, contempt for, or ingrained prejudice against women or girls. [S/N: In adjectival form, the word ‘misogynist’ or ‘misogynistic’ is used.] Ex: She believed that her brother was struggling with a thinly disguised misogyny. [S/N: Misogyny manifests in numerous ways, including social exclusion, sex discrimination, hostility, androcentrism, patriarchy, male privilege, belittling of women or girls, disenfranchisement of women or girls, violence against women or girls, and sexual objectification.] mutual masturbation (noun) 1. Ex: This blog’s author always stylizes his moniker “RobFather” as one word, with the first letter of the word “father” capitalized. rxxxx S sapiophile (plural sapiophiles) (noun) 1. Someone who is attracted to intelligence or intelligent people. [S/N: This attraction can be romantic and/or sexual.] sapiosexual (noun) 1. Someone who finds intelligence and the human mind to be one of the most sexually attractive features for a potential sexual relationship.
